The Appearance of Lipton "Butterflies" is a Sign of Spring!
To celebrate the onset of spring, Unilever traditionally produces a limited series of Lipton tea in a gift box. Lipton is one of the most popular tea brands in Russia, which is represented in our market in various versions from leaf tea to bottled ice tea.
This year, Charsky studio was commissioned to develop a design of one of spring leaf tea promo sets. The Studio was required to adapt the global promo pattern for a tin box, similar in shape to the butterfly’s silhouette. At the heart of the design it was necessary to convey the idea of a spring kaleidoscope, a whirlpool of emotions and brightness of colors. The consumer can easily detect in the package patterns symbols of traditional tea drinking — silhouettes of teacups and teaspoons, and familiar images of spring and summer. In total, the Studio developed three variants of packaging using conventional topics: fireworks, love and flowers — differing from each other in details and color combinations.
Thus, a collection was created that allows the consumer to choose the right packaging for his/her mood. The unusual bright spring design of the package in the form of a butterfly attracts attention and stands out favorably on the shelf next to competitor brands.
Also, within the scope of the task, a unique design for the base construction was developed, which makes it possible to make the display of the products in stores more convenient and attractive. The design of the base also supports the general theme of spring which is illustrated with the field of blossoming tulips. The predominance of the corporate yellow color in the design of the base helps maintain the brand individuality and can be easily recognized by the consumer.
