«Nomos-Bank» was founded in 1993, whose priority activity is servicing corporate customers in the defense and the gold mining industry. It was included in the Forbes Global 2000 ranking of the world’s largest companies.
When working on the design of the bank’s annual report for 2006, the Studio met a true creative challenge: we had to stay within the regular corporate identity and, at the same time, convey the idea of the brand’s dynamic development. Also, we wanted to move away from the standard format of a bank presentation brochure.
So, there emerged a bold idea to design an annual report in a laptop format that would communicate the corporate culture, and the brand’s major benefits: mobility, speed of decision making, technological innovation.
Visually and tactilely, this format completely mimics the laptop: its «keyboard» is raised by embossing. The «laptop» functions as a folder for the two booklets devoted to the bank’s business and financial results. Under «the screen» can be found a presentation brochure with general information about the bank.
Our work was highly appreciated by the customer and the design community of Russia: it won the first prize in the «Maitre de Printing» annual competition. In particular, the unique product design, the work of our artists and designers who created illustrations, as well as the flawless printing of high complexity were given special appraisal.
